Hello~
I actually won my D40...yes won it. I was never so excited in my entire life. I couldn't believe it. Anyway it came w/ the 18-55 lens and I bought the 55-200 which I love using to take pics of my 2 sporting kids. I sooo wish I knew more about the auto portion of taking pics and hopefully will learn soon w/ a class. I enjoy reading the comments and learning. Have a great day!

Hi Everyone,
I have a D60. I've had it about a year now and am loving it. Since I've taken Candice's Oh Shoot I have really learned how this camera works. Still a lot to learn though! I have the kit lens, the 55-200, the 50mm 1.8 (want to sell it, like new) and just recently purchased the 50mm 1.4. I wanted the auto focus since I have two little grandsons who can't wait for me to fiddle w/my focus. I love the 50mm! I couldn't believe the difference when I went from the kit lens that the 50mm 1.8. I hardly use my other lens unless I need to shoot something in the distance. I've only had the 1.8 since July and find myself automatically going to focus with the 1.4. Funny how quickly you get used to something and it's hard to change. Do any of you know of a good place to sell lens from?

Hi Leslie,

I have a D40. I like how basic it is and I liked the price. If I were to buy my first DSLR, I would buy the D90 or D5000. With my D40 a ton of fun lenses do not auto focus that do on the cameras I mentioned. For instance the nifty fifty is around $100 for a D90. If I want a auto focusing nifty 50 for the D40, it is around $450!

Hi everyone, I have a D70, and love it. My sister and I bought one each about 6 yrs ago. I have wore it out, but still love it. I have lots of great photos, and started by photography business with it, before buying my D300.

Hello from Kansas. I have a D60. We're still getting to know each other but it's a very promising relationship. In my bag I have a nikon 18-55 mm, a nikon 55-200mm, a nikon 50mm f/1.8, and a tamron 28-75 f 2.8. Not really sure which lens is my favorite or which is best. If I ever won the lottery I would love a nikon 24-70 mm f2.8. Came real close to renting it for an upcoming vacation, but just can't stand the thought of spending over $100 for something I can't keep

Hi everyone. I'm in east Orlando Florida. I bought a Nikon D40 earlier this year and love it. I especially love the prime lens I purchased after becoming familiar with an awesome photographer from Oregon. She taught an all-day class in Orlando in early March and I learned so much! The prime lens is the 50mm f1.4. Now, I am taking Candice's class, Oh Shoot, in order to learn the technical stuff - repeating stuff learned in early March. I hope to learn from all of you as well as share things I have learned. Thanks for being here.

I've sent my Nikon away for the annual dusting service, stuck with an Olympus FE45... Well, it's better than nothing, just to keep up with my Photo 365 project ;)

Hi All, I have a D70. I love it. I've only had it six month or so, purchased it from my brother when he upgraded (he now has a D700 lucky thing). I have the standard 55mm kit lens and a Tamron 55-200 which seems to be on the camera all the time. I have so much to learn about this camera!
