I'd also recommend a great book titled "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson. Have read a bit of it and actually understand what I am reading!!! Imagine that!

I took the "Oh Shoot" class the first time it was offered. It was great. I need to go through it again - know more will soak in the second time around.

Not yet. I am taking the "Oh Shoot,..." photography course on this site with Candice Stringham. The class and work and other stuff has kept me pretty busy. Come to think of it, I didn't even think about doing any digi layouts with the photos from the walk. I guess I could just for the fun of it though.

Did you do any digi layouts with your photos?

Hi everybody. The photo walk on July 18 was fun. It was extremely hot - but as we walked, we were in the shade a lot of the time and there was a nice breeze. I made sure and put on plenty of sunscreen and drank lots of water.

We started out at the Eau Gallie Civic Center and walked a few blocks in each direction, ending up back at the Center. There were some interesting things to see and photograph along the way.

There were 50 people (and more) attending the walk and it looks like 25 people submitted photos for the competition. I submitted two (2) photos - The ones titled "Colourful" and "a little green, a little blue." There are some interesting pix.

I'll do it again next year and maybe stay a little closer to home - like Winter Park or downtown Orlando.

Jeffri, tell us about the photo walk. I tried but had too many things going on that day and didn't make it.

I wish I had read Jeffri's message earlier...I would love to go on the photo walk. I don't know if I can work out details before tomorrow. Hopefully we can all get together sometime.

Hi. My name is Jeffri and I too live in east Orlando. I LOVE digi scrapping and have been using the computer (PS and PSE) for two or three years now, maybe a little longer. I get together regularly with a group of paper scrappers. I am taking the Photo Editing class as well as the Oh Shoot Photography class - trying to learn the technical stuff about using my Nikon D40. I'm going to Melbourne FL this weekend for Scott Kelby's 2nd Annual Worldwide PhotoWalk. Would love to get together some time if possible.

Faith - I am in a small local scrap group, but they are all paper crafters only. It would be great to be able to crop with some digi gals!
Candy - Congrats on the new job! Being an educator is tough these days with the way job cuts are going!
