I have a question to all D80 users (and really anyone): What is the best settings to put your camera on when taking pictures of your lit Christmas tree? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I've had my D80 for almost two years as well, and I love it. I took Oh Shoot! to learn how to use some of the settings, and I'm slowly getting used to it. However, with a 3 year old and a 6 month old, sometimes it's just easier to shoot in auto! lol

Ladies, Thanks for having me in the group. I called Nikon on Friday and as told that once a year we should send our camera to have it serviced and sensors cleaned. I will be sending my baby to New York for 3 weeks for cleaning. I think that each of you should check into this. I recommend sending it UPS. I'm having trouble with my SD card slot. I have to press really hard to make the card lock into place. MsElle

I am so glad someone started this group. I have had my D80 for going on two years and love it but have just begun to use settings outside of Auto these last few months! I have much to learn!

I have had the D80 for a couple of years and really need to understand the settings better. I am sure the camera can do a lot more than I am able to do with it.

I've been wondering why the D80 was left off with other Nikon groups but I'm glad this group was created! I've had my D80 since 2006 (the time it was first released) and I love it!
