Description:
The following is a "thinking out-loud" description of the potential ambit of this group. A group of members who are guys on this forum, and /or gals who may have some insights on "guy-like" digi issues. For instance it has always seemed limiting to me that the marketing of digi-scrap-booking is so heavily female oriented. Many males who would find a lot of important content here may not even consider taking a course if they believe the themes of projects are just oriented to children and babies!! No offense is meant here, so please no flames!! Much could be gained if some of the projects were more masculine-inclusive (less uses of "flourishes" etc). I have found that the technical abilities of the woman on the "Spragueground" is second to no other forums to which I belong, seriously! Yet the "look" of the advertising etc is clearly feminine, when it could be made partially unisex. I would add that I have aways felt welcome here, and well-accepted. My only concern is that the "face" of the content could turn many males away. This is a shame! Maybe this is not "grist" for a Group. May be a crazy idea, not well thought out. Let us see what the response may be.

Hi there Clarke.
I would have to agree with you. I am not into the pretty-pretty embellishment stuff. I don't mind looking at it but its not what I want to make myself so I'm always on the look out for stuff that I can relate to....nature, patterns that are earthy, that sort of thing. Good luck in your quest but as a few months have passed I guess you didn't get the response you were hoping for. all the best
Dora

Hey Clarke! I agree - guys should definitely be marketed to more in this field - after all, a lot of the photog & web designers are guys. I'd love to see what comes of this group & offer any help that I can.....often told that I think more like a guy anyway! Take care, Meg

One of my favorite authors is Angela Hunt (aka Angela Elwell Hunt), who writes Christian novels. I've read most of her books and just finished "The Dreamers," which is about Joseph (from the Old Testament) and a young slave girl named Tuya. It was a great story, loosely based on the writings in Genesis of that historical period.

The only bit of disappointment was that Ms Hunt did not include ",,,the rest of the story..." from the Genesis account as it ends before Joseph's 10 brothers come to Thebes and do not recognize him. I was looking forward to reading about that part, but guess I'll have to read the original version instead ;)
