I am having mixed results shooting in full manual mode because I find myself fumbling with the jog dials too much and the Kodak (or should I say the D300) moments pass me by. This is especially the case with younger subjects. Would you care to share your experiences? What works, and what doesn't?

Hi all, it's quiet around here. :) I just got my 11-16mm ultra wide - I'll share some photos I took of the Oregon Coast shortly. And my wonderful sis bought me an 85mm 1.4! Swoon - haven't had a chance to play with it yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to let you know what it's like.

Hey guys, check out www.dtowntv.com - Scott Kelby and Matt Kloskowski do a video show every week for Nikon cameras. They have free podcasts of the videos too - really good information!

Wahhoooo - I have a Nikon D70s already. Dh said I needed to go out for a drive with him last night. He took me to the Camera store and got me the D300. So I am here to learn, very excited and already overwhelmed by the camera...LOL
