It's time for our {Birth}Day 1 FREEBIE and CHALLENGE! Today's freebie is a fun game, a download, and a challenge all rolled into one. I'm hoping it'll get us all in the mood to par-TAY, AND I'm hoping that a few more of us will show our lovely faces around here (ahem, you know who you are, you shy thing!) Yay! ) Birth-Day1 Challenge (and June 22 CAD too!) Here's our challenge for today! (For those who are doing the June Create-A-Day Challenge, this is the Day 22 challenge for you!) Look back at the progress you've made since you began your digital journey - or if you're new and are just starting out on this incredible path of preserving your memories, record your feelings right now. Then create a layout that celebrates this wonderful ongoing adventure in our lives! Upload your challenge layout to our Challenge Gallery (please include the title Birth-Day1 Challenge or JuneCAD-Day22 in your file description title). Then skip along to the sticky thread in the General Forum (See the June CAD-Day 22 thread) and post there to let us know that you've uploaded (so we know when to run over to the Challenge Gallery and leave you love!). Party Game Time! All parties have fun games, don't they? We've got a real fun party game here, too! Here's how we'll play today: 1. Unzip the freebie pack you've just downloaded. 2. Print the template above and make a party hat. Then wear it and have someone snap your photo! (Or push the self-timer button of your camera. Or hold your camera at arm's length and shoot away. We just want to see you in your birthday hat!) OR 3. If you're eating cookies on the dark side and want a digital birthday hat, go ahead and design one with the .psd freebie, prop it on top of your head on a photo, and that's just as good! 4. Sing, dance, eat some birthday cake, and then upload your photo of you in your birthday hat to our Challenge Gallery! (We just might have something special to give at the end of our birthday week to all who are spotted wearing their birthday hats in the gallery today! >wink!) I can't get my psd file to open! It says it wasn't "saved with a composite image" and is a little black square. I have a Mac and it auto "unzipped" going to try downloading again??

I will be joining the party as soon as I get some sleep. I just returned from Las Vegas. Who gets sleep when they're in Sin City and all those slot machines? I saw Jay Leno and Legends - impersonators - I drooled and swooned over Elvis (Matt Lewis). I even got the scarf that is given to the lady who sits in the front row (that was me)

This week has been awesome. Just wanted to mention that one of my FAVORITE things I have seen this week is the posting of Layouts on the homeblog page. Although the gallery has become a source of amazing inspiration it takes some time to go through. Getting to see newly featured layouts on the homeblog everyday is such a great quickstop and also is a great motivator to get layouts posted in the gallery !! Please continue this feature !!
