Wow! The Spraground is really hopping. A lot of newbies have come to play. And we have plenty of swings, don't we mates? To catch our new friends up-to-speed, we have a challenge each week listed under the General Forum, and this week's challenge was led by Kimberly (aka myangels3). And boy did she ever more give us a challenge. No templates. None. Nada. :Gasp: Nothing like making you flex your creative muscles, right? Here's the color palette she gave us to work on:
Pretty lovely, right? I think I'm channeling the beach...beautiful seaside colors. And she was inspired by...a Kleenex box LOL! Inspiration is everywhere! And notice how she made it so easy on everyone, she include the hexadecimal codes for each of the colors . How clever!
Our Spragmates were up to the challenge and churned out some lovelies! Lois (lhellis) picked the perfect photo for these inspiration colors. And Miki's - you've got to see Miki's - it's art! Head on over to the challenge gallery to gaze upon the submissions this week.
Out of these amazing submissions, a random winner is chosen each week. And not only do they get the bragging rights for having their layout posted on the front page, but they also get a $5 gift certificate to use on the site. And can I tell ya - man, 5 Spragbucks goes a long way on One Buck Wednesdays.
I just know you're dying to find out who this week's winner is. And dying to see who randomly picked the winner. Well my friends, the dogs wanted no part of my shenanigans this week and my darling girl is long gone to dreamland, so it was up to me. After a couple of intense rounds of One Potato, Two Potato... I found our Superstar. And this winner is brought to you by Leftover Halloween Candy:
You can totally read that, right? I don't even need to type the name. Special thanks to the folks who gave my kid Twizzlers, Smarties, Jolly Ranchers, Candy Corn and Peanut M&Ms. You made this possible.
Congratulations Valerie, aka Nana_vg! You are this week's Spraground Superstar!! Do a sassy dance for us while we admire your handiwork! And hold on cause it's a two-pager! Click here to get a closer look!

Isn't this marvelous? I LOVE the design and how she used the softness of the colors to complement her photos. And the floral brushwork is the icing on this cake. It makes it all work together! Beautiful work Valerie!
You can join in on the fun too! Head on over to the General Forum and look for the sticky thread at the top to see the new Challenge. We have a new one each Friday. Post your layout in the gallery before 10 PM EST on Thursday nights, and you, yes you could be the next Spraground Superstar with a little mad money to burn! Now we'll all join Valerie in the sassy dance. It's Friday people!! Viva la weekend! |
