Hybrid Hotshot Print

Let's get this party started with our next Hybrid Hotshot. Today's lucky winner, courtesy of random.org, is Sharon Dale (aka skyezak)! Woo-hoo! Let's take a look at Sharon's creative project while she does a victory dance in the background. :)

Sharon created this awesome toolbox using a template. Don't you just love it? And who really wants tools in their toolbox? Wouldn't you rather have this sweet mini album? Dads and grandpas everywhere will love this gift for Christmas.

Congratulations, Sharon! Thanks for sharing your awesome talents with us!

Putting it Together Print

Check out what our creative team has put together this week!

I love this layout by Rachael Sheedy. She used one of Jessica's amazing templates and paired it with papers by Orchard & Broome. Don't you love the sunshiney yellow mixed with the gray? She also added one of Orchard & Broome's photo frames (ahem, from this week's one buck bin) to make her photo pop. Simply gorgeous!

This is Why (Jill Scrapbooks) Print

My Story

Let me introduce myself. My name is Jill Sanders and I am married to Russell. We have two boys, Dustin and Darrian, and a dog named Lucy.

I was born as the fourth daughter in Downey, California, right after my family had immigrated from The Netherlands to the US, so you can say I was "Made in Holland" and "Born in the USA". My young life had primarily been ruled by “listen and follow” as soon as I could talk, which surprisingly wasn’t until I was 4, I am told !

Unfortunately, I lost my parents at a very young age and did not get the chance to experience or remember events that happened while they were alive.

How I started Scrapbooking

After having children myself and collecting shoeboxes full of photos, I decided to find a way to preserve the cherished memories and write down my daily stories, so my children would be able to recall my memories when I am no longer around. When I asked my oldest sister for our family albums (of course there is only one copy and she, as the eldest, had them), I found so many photos of my parents but had no clue when or where they were taken. I also found albums full of baby pictures--most of which were of my oldest sister, fewer of the second oldest, even less of the third, and one page worth of mine. (Doesn’t it always go like that?)
