Spraground Superstar Print

Nothing like a little Ad inspiration to get your creative mojo on the go-go.  And Liv's Jones Soda ad for this week's Scrapbook Challenge worked like a charm.  One of the really cool things about this particular ad was how it inspired our submitters in different ways.  Take a look in the gallery!  It was the black and white with the pop of color and extraction that attracted Valerie (nana_vg) .  You have to take a peek - her extraction is masterful.  And Luann (luannw) was inspired by the colors and grunginess in her Princess of the Corn layout.  [Just the title cracks me up! I can't decide if it reminds me of a really cheesy local pageant or that creepy 80s movie, Children of the Corn. :shudder:  I think I'm going to go with Little Miss Princess of the Corn!]

Now, where was I?  Oh yes, this week's winner!  Our Spraground Superstar is brought to you by my little munchkin, Cammie - who is more awesome than Random.org, Roscoe and Pugsley combined.  I'm just sayin'.  She clicked her heels together three times, and in a non-biased, completely impartial way, chose this week's winning submission:

Congratulations SueG!  Your awesome layout reigns supreme!  And you get a $5 gift certificate to spend in the store any way you like.  We'll turn up the music, let you take a victory walk around the runway, while we oogle over your creation.

I have to say - I squealed when I realized that SueG's eye candy was our winner.  I'm a sucker for beautiful photography, grunge, autumn, and babies.   And with the exception of babies, this layout has the winning combination.  Fantastic job Sue!

Keep those submissions coming!  Our Challenges are a great way to keep skills fresh and to find inspiration so you can keep churning out masterpieces.   And just think-  you could be the next lucky winner!  Happy Friday and Happy Trick-or-Treating this weekend! :D

Hybrid Thursday Print

Happy Halloween! I may be a couple of days early, but the Halloween festivities are in full swing at my house. We have been busy picking out pumpkins, getting costumes ready, making cookies, eating cookies...ah, good stuff!

For this week's edition of Hybrid Thursday I made a mini album celebrating October of 2008. With the help of designers Liv, Jessica, and Crystal, this album went together with such ease that it was almost spooky. ;)

I designed my cover page in PSE 8. I printed it out, cut it down, added some distressing ink, and adhered it to my chipboard cover. Once all of my pages were done, I bound my album using my trusty ol' Bind it All. If you are a mini album lover and do not own one of these, make sure you put it on your list to Santa. That little tool is amazing!

Hybrid Hotshot Print

Are you ready for the next Hybrid Hotshot to take the stage? Let's hear it for lucky file number 33, as determined by our friends at random.org.

File number 33 belongs to hotshot Joann (aka Joan1068). Joann put together this awesome CD album to document her son's first day back to school. She included everything from the new supplies, to getting ready, to the first lunch. My personal favorite is the apple on the cover. Adorable! Congratulations, Joann!

Putting it Together Print

Have you checked out the new products in the store from Jessica and Crystal? Such digi awesomeness! Our Creative Team is here to jump start your creativity with ways you can use these new products.

This layout by Lisa Vanderveen is full of rich color and detail. I love the repeating circle theme found in the sunflowers, the patterned paper, and the scalloped border. Simply gorgeous!
