7 Days in May Challenges Rock the Spraground |

Have you noticed anything new on the Spraground lately? Have you strolled through the General Forum and noticed that the sticky area at the top is all abuzz with excitement? Have you passed by the Challenge Gallery and felt the creative energy bursting from the amazing layouts that have been filling page after gallery page since Monday? If you have, then you've surely stumbled upon our 7 Days in May Challenge at the Spraground! For this entire week, from Monday to Sunday, we are holding daily layout challenges with a different prompt for each day. The challenges have always been an awesome way for us to grow our skills, to play with our digi schtuff, and to spread the love in the gallery. And this week the creative muse has definitely set up her tent right here! It is so amazing to see the many different layouts that arise from the challenge prompts! My story begins with one evening more than a decade ago, when our middle daughter, Sara, asked me to come to a scrapbooking home party. Having no real interest in anything but spending time with her, I traveled to her home in the state next door. There, a Creative Memories consultant was anxiously waiting to demonstrate how to scrapbook and was probably hoping she’d make a sale as well.

Announcement: Launch Dates |

 Hi there! As our company grows, we have seen the need to make a change with our launch date announcements. We have decided to adopt a software engineering model of release dates from now on. We will announce classes, and give a general timeframe for their release, but we won't be providing specific dates until self-paced classes go live.
The simple reason for this, is that sometimes we're at the mercy of technology. Sometimes we're at the mercy of crazy gremlins that slow us down, sometimes there are kinks in the schedule, and sometimes Real Life simply gets in the way of a release for a few days, and we can't deliver as promised. We don't like pushing things back. We don't like disappointing excited students who've been waiting for a particular day so they could register for an anticipated class. So we won't be announcing dates. Instead, each time a new class goes live, we will send an email to the JessicaSprague.com newsletter list to announce it, and it will, of course, be posted here on the home page. Please sign up to receive the newsletter (and if you've ever taken a class with us, congrats! You're already on the newsletter list!) We love ya. We value your friendship and spirit of community here. We're excited about the upcoming projects we have, and hope you love them too! :) NOTE: This announcement change does not affect instructor-led classes, which are time-sensitive and require you to be here for registration on a certain date and time.  Kind of a daunting question to ask myself: why do I scrapbook? Truth be told, my first reaction is to say "I dunno - because I want to!" I guess part of me feels like there should be some deep-seated reason that compels me and stirs the scrapbooking fire within. Looking back at the role scrapbooking has played in my life, I am not surprised to find that the answer to that question has changed several times over the years.

 When I was a young girl, my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Over the years I watched as her mind, strong and able once, slowly regressed till in her final years she could no longer speak coherent words or sentences.
