In Episode 3
I wanted one of our first Alchemy episodes to focus on one of the most important people in so many of our lives: our moms. You can create this GORGEOUS keepsake album, complete with photos, heartfelt journaling, and beautiful quotes, that she'll treasure forever. And she won't even know that you made the album in an evening!
One of my favorite ways to take advantage of the power of the computer as a scrapbook tool is in making albums. After you have a basic framework laid out, the album comes together in a snap! I'll show you secrets for producing albums that are visually stunning, but streamlined in production.
What You'll Learn
In the Photoshop screencast (for Elements and CS4), I'll show you how to:
- Create new Photoshop documents to hold photos, journaling, and dates
- Resize photos to fit a specific size
- Size text blocks to fit specific sizes
- Justify journaling
- Speed production of a multi-page album with quick Photoshop tricks
- Print onto several different colors of cardstock
I'll provide detailed step-by-step instructions for laying out all your album pages!
What You'll Need
For all the Scrapbook Alchemy classes, you'll need just a few basic tools:
