You love taking photos of events big and small in your life. You love writing and recording, and have an eye toward remembering. You celebrate, savor, and save. You want an easier, cleaner way to create with your memories in words and photos. You've come to the right place! I'll show you how to create digital scrapbook pages you can share with friends and family online, and print and put into albums for paging through. You'll love what you can make, and gain skills that will last you a lifetime!  Also, learning Photoshop will make you better looking. Seriously.

This is a self-paced class. Once you sign up for the class, you'll have access to all your course materials FOREVER. No need to be online at a specific time - complete the class at your own pace!


In this video-based course, you'll learn all the basic Photoshop tools and how to use them to manipulate and integrate the five materials of our craft: photographs, patterns, brushes, embellishments, and type. During our class, I'll show you how to create digital scrapbook pages from templates and from scratch.
You'll learn how to:
  • Identify the basic vocabulary of design for print and the web
  • Download and unzip files
  • Open, close, combine, create and save images of different types
  • Create a layout using a quickpage
  • Create a layout using a digital template
  • Create a layout from scratch with a blank document
  • Use digital patterned paper
  • Install and stamp digital brushes
  • Perform basic edits on photos
  • Download and install fonts, and use the Type tool
  • Create photo collages
  • And so much more!

There are no prerequisites to this beginner-level class. You'll need a computer with internet access, and have any version of Photoshop Elements 7+ or Photoshop CS2+ installed. Adobe offers a free 30-day trial of these programs in its latest version.
