Hello fellow Art Journalers!! Happy Fall to you... how is everyone doing?

For our October digital Art Journaling project, I'd like to celebrate Fall. Now I know that not everyone is in the fall season right now but in Michigan it's just beautiful - the leaves are beginning to change colors and it's lovely.

How does fall speak to your soul?

What are your favorite things about this season?
Sights, sounds?
Smells? (Fires burning in the fireplace!)

Tastes? (Candy corn and caramel apples!)
What is your favorite memory of fall from when you were a child?

How do you celebrate this season?
Any pictures of decorations from your house?

I love to go to the local apple orchard here and get cider and donuts... YUM!

I'm so happy I visited the forum tonight and found your tutorial. I got inspired and tried my hand at it and had fun following your lead. Thank you so much for this inspiration and all the free supplies to play with. I used an old photo I had of striped bicolor mums as an overlay on the second layer with a blend mode and opacity reduction. The paint and erase layers were fun too, new for me!

It seems like a lifetime ago that I did a challenge even though I only missed September due to school starting again. I've been knee deep in getting my Kindergartners off and running. This layout is about starting a new school year. It seems kind of dark and foreboding, which aspects of it are, but the start of the year always comes with great possibilities and promise. I made this layout after 60+ hours a week for the last 8 weeks, so I might be a little tired. I actually posted it in the gallery and forgot that I'm supposed to link it here. Man, I AM tired. Off to bed...

Oops, I just checked out the fabulous tutorial, but didn't do that until now and my layout is done. I'll have to use the new techniques later, sorry. Looks super interesting Nancie.

Diane - I just love your page! I don't think it's dark and foreboding at all..it is so rich and layered. Wonderful! 60 hours!?! Get some rest! LOL! Those kindergartner's can be exhausting - I used to volunteer at the school library! ))
