Jessica, please answer this………. 10 Years, 3 Months ago
Thank you for Lesson Two. However, it leaves several things unanswered for me and I cannot move forward until these are addressed. Others have brought this up too, so I really would appreciate it if you could help us out.

1. I appreciate the ease of opening up zip downloads directly into Pixa. For future downloads, that will be wonderful. However, for kits that were purchased years ago, what is the best way to address that?

2. External Hard Drives… Pixa is currently on my HD. My digistash is on my EHD. As I said below, my HD was completely full of stuff which forced me to move all my digi supplies onto an EHD. Do I move Pixa onto my EHD? Do I just use Live Folders (not discussed yet). I absolutely do NOT want to be copying anything back onto my HD from the EHD, just to put it into the Pixa library.

I would really like Pixa to work like Picasa, giving me a window into my supplies wherever they are located. I think that means Live Folders, yes? Can I only use Live Folders or must I import stuff into the library? Until it is explained how that would work, I can't begin to build my library of goods.

3. Point of confusion (for me…)… If I tag by designer, can I ask tag by color, paper type, object etc as well? I like the idea of honing in on specific items but don't want to break up kits to do this. I would like to be able to access items in various categories. Is that doable as well?

Thank you! I think there are several of us concerned about our stash on our EHDs and how to work this with Pixa, and if you can point us in the right direction it would clear up a lot of questions.

Melanie.

Hi Melanie,
You might have better response on the class forum instead of the general organization one. The class forum is hopping!

I have left two replies to my original message, which I posted in the wrong place. Both have vanished. I do not know why.

Thanks for replying. I mistakenly posted in this forum instead of the class one, and re-posted there once I realized my error.

Melanie, the reason your thread "vanished" is because I deleted it from this forum after you posted it to the correct forum. Although now that I think about it, that's a really good way to mess with people's heads...
