Copying DigiLibrary Once Organized and Tagged 10 Years, 3 Months ago
I have a PC. All of my digi library is on an EHD. I know that I can back-up my ACDsee organization through ACDsee (which I will do), BUT, if I want to copy my underlying library of stuff to another EHD for protection do I use ACDsee to do that or Windows? Or does it matter?

Thanks!

As I understand it, and the message that seems loud and clear from anyone using ACDsee, is that you have to transfer everything WITHIN ACDsee if you have any hope of keeping your categories and tagging.

I just did this in the last few months and had no problems because I did all my operations within ACDsee.

Be sure to post back here with any questions!

Absolutely do all your backup with ACDSee if you can. Your online backup will not be done within ACDSee and to restore with it later is problematic. At least that's my experience right now. Backblaze made copies of all my files, my categories, but my tags are messed up. I'm still working on straightening it out.
