ACDSee 15 help please! 9 Years, 6 Months ago

I have ACDSee 15 and CS5. When I am trying to open up certain products using either drag & drop or external editor function some things will open and certain others won't. Does anyone have any idea why? I even tried retagging some of these items thinking that would maybe help but it doesn't seem to. Thank you!

I'm not using ACDSee much these days, and I am back on version 12 I believe.
Make sure you have CS5 identified as your external editor. As far as I know, there is no drag and drop support. But if you select your items in ACDSee and use ctrl-alt-x, it should bring them into photoshop for you.

Lacey, I have usimg ACDSee for years. The way I drag and drop is to select the items in ACDSee (either from the Manage window or after placing them in the Image Basket), then drag down to the PS or PSE icon on your computer task bar. When you see the PS or PSE thumbnail popup, continue dragging onto the thumbnail. The PS or PSE window appears. Now drag onto PS or PSE and let go on the PS or PSE window. The items will now be in PS or PSE. This sounds like a lot, but it all happens in 1-2 seconds.
I don't use the External Editor option, as it never really works well for me, so I just use the drag & drop.
