I am so incredibly excited and proud to have you come see my city for this SpragueFest. I have lived here for the last 17 years and I still love it. The weather is usually mild in October with some chilly nights, but very comfortable.

There are so many incredible things for us to do and see in Atlanta that there's hardly room to describe them all. With the hotel being right next door to a Marta train station, the options are unlimited for activities and fun.

Here's a brief list of things to do and see:

Plus there are so many world class restaurants with many celebrity chefs to choose from. If you watch Top Chef, we could totally name drop here.

We only have 39 days left before I get to hug on my favorite people again. I can NOT wait!

I have forgotten the exact dates, and is there a link for it somewhere? I don't think I'll be able to make it, but I do have a business trip late October to Baltimore.

Oh! I have never been to Atlanta before and see several things that I would like to do. I can't wait to get the Spraguefest schedule to see what the group is doing and to plan what extra stuff I want to do! Thanks Gary and Meg!

Thanks so much for posting the dates. For some reason I had it set for the 17-20. I even have already requested off from school and got it approved. Guess I need to change that, eh?

I'm excited it's near the MARTA station. I'll be staying at home (I think right now) and coming in for the classes. I live north of the city in Suwanee but only for the last 18 months so I'm still finding my way around.

Looking forward to all of this. It will be my first Sprague Fest so tell me what to expect (beside phenomenal classes).

I answered you on the Roll Call thread. It's pretty casual, basically an opportunity to meet up with fellow Spragrounders in real life. You'll have a wonderful time! The people of this community are just as fantastic in person!

I'm beginning to wonder if I have enough skills to be at this event. What do you bring? Is it just for the designers? I'm wondering if I should cancel.

Oh, no. Don't cancel. it's for everyone. Last year we spent some time in classes that ranged from digi scrapping to hybrid crafting. I think there might be more hanging out and socializing time this year.

Jkpscrap - You live in Suwanee? You can ride with me if you want. I'll be driving in each day, although I'm considering staying over maybe 1 night. Haven't checked the hotel rates yet and would need the schedule to see which night would be the best to do that.

suernsmith--If you would drive that would be wonderful. I get lost all of the time. I was going to go to MARTA and ride in but I wasn't sure how late I could stay before riding home. I'll be happy to share the cost of gas. I live in Suwanee near Fresh Market. Do you know where that is?

I'm heading to Florida the week after - the family is taking turns visiting my MIL (her first year without her DH - they were married like 60+years!). With Kip not working I just couldn't do both nor be away so long :>( I am going to miss you all. And I still love my jewelry, but can always make room for more! You and Nana Jean and Debbie P have a glass of wine and toast to me *sniff* *sniff* and find someone to help Gary climb a statue. He'll be lost without my "support" LOL!!

I checked out your links Gary. I want to definitely do the CNN Studio Tour and the World of Coke and hopefully squeeze in a visit to the Margaret Mitchell House too!
