Do we have any info on the schedule other than the start and end times of Spraguefest?

Yes, that would be good to know!

I really need some sort of schedule so I can take the appropriate times off work. I live in the Atlanta area, so I will be commuting in for the event each day and need to know when.

There are a couple of other threads here in this forum where people are joining up for activities. My understanding was that it was going to be more casual this year.

I know we will have a good time no matter what is scheduled!

I actually have to leave a little earlier on Saturday (flight is at 4:30 p.m.), so it would be good have a rough schedule so I know what to plan, especially for Saturday. It just worked out that way that the cheapest cost was Saturday night... Sunday was 3 to 4 times more money!

Also, I may be able to get some admission tickets with discounts, but I don't really want to do that without knowing what the overall plan will be.

Are we going to be completely on our own during the day? Are there going to be suggested group activities?

Yep, there will be some scheduled group activities for each day. Meal places have yet to be determined, but we do want to have them all together. That should be fun.

Anyone up for a picnic in the park one day?

There is a huge pride event at Piedmont Park on Saturday the 12th and Sunday the 13th so I am wondering if the park will be overrun with people setting up for the event when we are supposed to do the photo walk there on Thursday?

I was able to get Thursday and Friday off work, so I'll be there, yay! I was able to get a room at the hotel, but since it was $200/night (yikes) I'm only going to stay Friday night. With the pride festival going on right in our vicinity I figured traffic and parking would be kind of a nightmare for me to commute in and out on Friday and Saturday. Can't afford it but it's my birthday that weekend, so I decided to splurge. I even bought the City Pass to take in the sightseeing! I will be driving in on Thursday and back home that night and would love to go to the Zoo on Thursday if anyone is interested in going. I will then be driving back in on Friday morning to join the group for the Aquarium and World of Coca-Cola and was thinking I should meet up with the group at the hotel rather than trying to find you at the Aquarium. Would need to know when you would be heading out so I got there in time or a designated point to meet at the Aquarium.

What, if any, kinds of tools/supplies (scissors, cutter, adhesive) should we bring (besides our laptops)? What is Speed Spraguing - is that a workshop or just a coined name for the short amount of time that we will be digi-scrapping?

The zoo would be an awesome photo op.

In the past if there have been any scrapping things, the materials have been provided to make it all there. I would suggest bringing your laptop and an extension cord for Saturdays fun.

The markets and crafts fair is scheduled for Saturday in the park. It shouldn't be there for our Thursday event. But you never know. We'll just take a different route if they are, though.

3:00 – 5:00 : Photo Walk at Piedmont Park - 400 Park Dr NE Atlanta, GA 30306 (15 min walk from the hotel) We'll meet at the 14th Street entrance of Piedmont Park

Dinner: Dutch, Restaurant TBD

Friday

Breakfast on Your Own (Gary give two thumbs up to the Flying Biscuit which is in walking distance to the hotel.) Might be fun schlep over there. I'm all about some biscuits.

10:00 – Atlanta Aquarium 225 Baker Street, NW Atlanta, GA 30313 (need to figure out transportation to aquarium. Marta is the easiest transportation to the use for all the venues) We are going to shoot for a group picture here if possible. Admission is $35

Lunch On Your Own

2:00 3:00 – World of Coca-Cola 121 Baker Street, NW Atlanta, GA 30313 (easy walk from Aquarium) (Admission is $16) Tori is going to revolt since she's a Pepsi fan.

Back to Hotel for Free time

Just wanted to let everyone know that the hotel says on its website that it has an expanded continental breakfast and dinner Monday - Thursday (5-7pm) in case anyone is looking to save some money.
