ACDSee for Mac 9 Years, 5 Months ago
I have been using ACDSee (which I think I downloaded as an App) on my iMac. It has been working great, until we "upgraded" to Yosemite. Now the program won't even open! Has anyone else had this problem? I'm sort of freaking out....

Thanks!

You may want to go to

www.acdsee.com/en/index

and see if they can help you.

ACDSEE was not compatible with the upgrade before Yosemite, so I am guessing it's not compatible with Yosemite. I switched programs (to PIxa) before I upgraded to Maverick. I don't love Pixa as much as I loved ACDSEE. Hope you find something that works for you.

I truthfully can't remember for sure, but there may be a way to embed your tags from ACDSee into the files. Spotlight might pick them up then making it a lot easier to re-tag, or simply use spotlight now that it's so much more user friendly. You can open multiple tabs in finder by using control + the next file you are opening. Just something to think about...having to re-tag is time consuming so my goal has been to find solutions that don't require me to start over every couple of years. I use Pixa now and try to update my spotlight tags as I go so if Pixa should happen to fall apart I can just use spotlight.
