how to make a thin frame around your photo or layo 9 Years, 4 Months ago
|
|
I know I used to know how to do this, and I know I have done it before. But now I can't remember. I think maybe Earl had a lesson where he explained it. I want to put a thin frame around my image and can't remember how to do it.
Thanks
Sharon

Hi Sharon,
If you are interested in just a single stroke type of border, go to Edit > Stroke. In the dialog select size and color for the stroke. Then, if you select Outside, you will get rounded corner on the stroke. If you select Inside, you will get square corners.
However, if you want to make a more interesting border, go to my blog at
www.earlkdesign.com/2010/10/other-days-w...isode-11-stroke.html
and download the turtotial.

Ok I have another question.
Once you "clip" an item to another (say, in a template), is there any way to then add a "stroke" to outline it? it seems to stroke the underneath layer and doesn't show.
Is that confusing??

Thanks for all the kind words everyone.
Chrystal asked a question about stroking an image that has been clipped in a mask. I will make a quick video and post the link to the video once it is up and available. There are probably more ways to do it, but this is one way. It is very easy to do once you see how you can do it.
Back when the video is posted.
