Red Splotches in Camera Raw 10 Years ago
I was going through pictures with Camera Raw and all of a sudden red splotches started randomly showing up on picture while in camera raw. Now I know this is new, because this happens even on files that I had already edited without them then like 15 mins later these are now showing up. They however disappear when I pull up the image in Photoshop.
I am doing this on a Mac, and the version is the CS6. PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks, I just don't know what to do.

Hi! The red splotches are your highlight clipping warnings. This is places where your detail is blown out. It's a little surprising if you don't realize what it is but it isn't on your photos. There's a dark version too (blue). If you go up to your histogram and click on the little squares at the very top corners, it will toggle on and off. Right is highlight (red), left is dark (blue).

If Jessica offers it, I've probably taken it.

Yup, its there to alert you that you may want to do some more adjustments to the raw settings before taking it into another program. You can remove them within the raw processor by making adjustments then when you open the file in another program it won't be blown out
