this is such tough news to share but I know there are several of you here who would want to know and include Marcie in your prayers. Our dear Marcie (Howe) found out last week that she is battling cancer...probably stage 3. She is in the process of identifying a facility for treatment and learning all she can about treatment options. Marcie remains one of the brightest women I know in the Photoshop World (like our dear Jess) and she was a regular here for several years giving countless advice to any and all - long before there was a mentor role at JS. Marcie is always willing to help others and can often be found tweeting great links. Please keep her in your prayers not only today but in the upcoming months as she endures treatment and all the medical visits that go along with this. For those of you who know her well I'm sure she would enjoy a message of encouragement.

That is awful news. I remember Marcie here as a very helpful and supportive and lovely person - I can see her avatar in my mind which helps as I pray that strength, courage and faith are with her every step of the way. I also pray that she finds a treatment centre that will not only give her all the encouragement she needs, but give her hope and ultimately healing, if that
is possible. But then I believe anything is possible - so the last thing I pray for is the miracle she and all her family will want right now.
Please give her my love and hugs.

Yes, I saw her post on FB and will def keep her on my thoughts and prayers for a full recovery and the strength to get through treatments. Bless her heart...she is such a wonderful person! (((hugs))) Marcie and TFS Joan!

When I was a newbie here @ Jessica Sprague.com, Marcie responded to a number of my rookie questions. I thought to myself, she is very helpful & kind. I will keep Marcie and her family in my prayers and hope she get through this challenging stage in her life.

I too have battled cancer, stage 4, last year and God provided so many blessings through the struggle. I am happy to report that I am cancer-free and I would be honored to pray and ask God for his intervention for Marcie.

Sadly, Marcie passed away on Dec 21st, 2012, but she would've appreciated your prayers very much. Congrats on being cancer free! That's wonderful!  |
